Dr. Laura Cabrera
Doctor Laura Cabrera is the owner and head dentist at Relax and Smile Dental Care. She emigrated from Cuba to Miami, Florida at the age of 17 where she finished her High School education. She then received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Florida International University. Laura went on to receive her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
After graduating from Dental school, Dr. Cabrera completed a General Practice residency program at UNLV School of Dental Medicine where she received further training in advanced dental procedures such as implant placement, hospital dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and conscious sedation among many others.
When not in the office Dr. Cabrera enjoys outdoor activities, exploring the city, and spending time with family. Her husband, Louie and dogs, Ricky and Stefanie, live nearby so you might see them pop in from time to time.

Dr. Tamara Santos
Dr. Tamara Santos was born in Cuba and emigrated to Miami, FL at the age of seventeen. After completing her high school education in Miami, she went on to receive an Associate Degree at Miami Dade College and a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Nova Southeastern University. She earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where she had the pleasure of meeting and becoming very good friends with Dr. Laura Cabrera.
Since graduating from UF, Dr. Santos has completed continuing education coursework in the areas of cosmetic and implant dentistry including multiple classes for advanced implant placement, and smile design through veneers and Invisalign®. Currently she is certified to place BOTOX for minor cosmetic treatment and TMJ. She has worked in a variety of clinic environments in Miami, FL as well as Los Angeles, CA and enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
In her free time, Dr. Santos loves to spend time with her family, follow her favorite sports teams, and spend time at the beach. She also loves traveling with her wife Elena and teaching their new puppy Gizmo new tricks. She looks forward to working with her great friend Dr. Cabrera and is excited to join the fantastic team at Relax and Smile Dental Care.
Jessica
Hygienist
Jessica has been in dentistry since 2008, she started as a dental assistant but soon realized with her knack for patient education and promoting oral care that she could do more for patients as a dental hygienist and made that goal a reality soon after. Understanding the common fear of the dentist, she prioritizes patient comfort while providing thorough care. She has gentle hands and a great aptitude for easing patient anxiety. For fun she loves the arts and music, and loves downtown due to the proximity to the Miami art scene and its artists.
Wendy Green
Hygienist
Wendy began her dental career over 20 years ago as a Dental hygienist. Her current position at Relax and Smile has brought many smiles to the patient’s face as she has gained meaningful bonds with her patients throughout the years. She is highly motivated and truly cares about the well-being of each and every patient. Wendy’s home state is Alabama, which she travels often to see her family. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading, long days at the beach, and spoiling her two cats Precious and Princess.
